Description

To befriend & support people with dementia. Training provided before you start. Involves: assisting & supporting people living with dementia, providing advice & signposting them to services; sharing activities you’re both interested in; communicating regularly with the coordinator. Requires: good face-to-face communication & listening skills; 2 references & ID; DBS check. Must be: happy volunteering on your own & keeping in touch with your team; committed, flexible & willing to learn.
